About Peter
Hello, everyone! My name is Peter Fridrich, and I want to welcome you to Griffin Buick GMC of Monroe! I grew up in Chappaqua, NY, and at an early age, I developed a strong passion for cars. During my high school years, I worked in small repair shops and gas stations to fuel that passion. My father was a senior IBM executive, and he encouraged my love for cars as a hobby while I continued to study for my degree in college. One day while in school and working nights at a local pub, my car got stuck at an intersection and I was encouraged by one of the pub’s patrons to repair the car myself. He happened to be an owner of a local collision shop, and he assisted me with the repair operations. I did so well that the owner offered me a job, which I accepted. Years later, I developed that company into a gold standard of collision repair and sold the business to move to North Carolina, to continue my goal of establishing a new car franchise. Throughout my journey, I received opportunities to work for Griffin Motor Company, Allstate Insurance, and Carter International (out of the UK). I have been credited for many accomplishments along the years, including creating one of the most extensive OE collision shop programs that supported luxury brands like Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin. When I returned from the UK to North Carolina, I built a global clientele for Autohuas Repair Management. Customers brought in super exotic cars for repair from around the world. After lots of success, I eventually sold Autohuas Repair Management to slow down and enjoy life. However, since joining the auto field in 1984, my love for the industry proved to be too strong to quit the business. Therefore, I positioned myself to partner with Macon Griffin in the Buick GMC store right here in Monroe, NC, where I work hard each day as the General Manager, eager to satisfy the needs of our customers, team members, and the community that we proudly serve. I genuinely love what I do and take pride in growing dealerships to their best potential.
